Personal History

1974	Graduated from visual design dept. at Nagoya University of Arts
	Joined design department of a cosmetic company
1988	Left the company. Learned wood work at a technical academy.
1989	Established " Wood work Studio Isa"
1994	Exhibition, "Mokkouten" at Gallery Anri in Nagoya
1995	Exhibited at "100 Chair Exhibition", co-sponsored by World interior Design Conference, at Meitetsu Department store
2000	Exhibition at Gallery Kouno in Yokkaichi
2004	Exhibiton,"Live with wood" at Gallery Kgaribi in Ashiya
2005	Selected at Oribe Craft Design Award Exhibition
2008	Selected at Oribe Craft Design Award Exhibition
2010	Participated in "Mori no Megumi no Kodomohaku" in Tokyo
2011	Exhibition at ParamitaMuseum in Mie Pref.

Message

I aim for touching works rather than cool, skillful or good looking works. It is difficult for my intension alone to make good results happen as each slice of wood has own aspect. I take advantage of good part of wood and negotiate during the fabrication. In order to maximize the nature of wood, I use no stain but plant derived oil at the finishing.
